Dementia is typically associated with the elderly population. However, according to recent studies, there may be as many as half a million Americans under age 65 who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments. In this workshop, participants will gain a better understanding of early onset dementia including common symptoms, the delay in diagnosis and the unique challenges of living with early-onset. 1 CEU for Social Workers, Case Managers, Certified Assisted Living Administrators and Licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
