Opioid use disorder can affect people of all ages, including seniors who often use prescription opioids to cope with painful chronic conditions or procedures. In this workshop, participants will get an overview of prescription drug misuse in the elderly and gain an understanding of the benefits and risks associated with opioid use. In addition, we discuss the treatment options available. 1 CEU for Social Workers, Case Managers, Certified Assisted Living Administrators and Licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
