The first workshop will discuss how substance abuse affects older adults. Areas that will be explored include the use of certain drugs that are considered addictive, the different symptoms, and the various treatment options available. The second workshop will explore how older adults can become victims to financial exploitation including the warning signs, how to report, and how one can protect him or herself. 2 CEUs for Social Workers, Case Managers, Certified Assisted Living Administrators and Licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
