Description:
Advocacy has become needed for older adults and family members. In our community, today, understanding how systems work has become more complicating and intricate. Understanding the need and role of an advocate has become a professional specialty in order for our clients to obtain appropriate/needed resources in their last years.
Our Director of Care Coordination, Anne Markel-Crozier will define the concept of advocacy, discuss the 10 skills needed to be an advocate, identify certain tools to procure change, and explore different components that affect change for the client/family member. 2 CEUs for Social Workers, Case Managers, Certified Assisted Living Administrators and Licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
